about me

I grew up in a house full of love. I'd watch asian dramas and action movies with my mom, try new 小吃 (Chinese street delicacies) with my dad, and have morning tea with my brother.

I grew up in a community full of love. Some of my best memories were spent with friends on camping trips, Werewolf/Catan nights, video games, and spontaneous walks by the seashore.

I grew up with extraordinary mentors and teachers. From them I learned integrity, curiosity, courage, accountability, knowledge, and agency.

It was the happiness and joy of my early life that taught me how to dream. For as long as I can remember, I've wanted to discover and create, probe the frontiers and pioneer breakthroughs.

As a kid, I'd watch Crash Course science videos and read dinosaur encyclopedias. At 15, I wrote my first lines of code. At 16, I co-developed a mobile social network. At 17, I built a voice agent for my parents before LLMs were a thing.

My fulfilment comes from helping people solve their most pressing needs through innovative and creative means.

I study computer science at Simon Fraser University, where I also co-lead research in robotics. Previously, I developed new systems software at National Research Council Canada to help protect the environment.

Some of my hobbies and interests include cooking/gastronomy, programming, drawing, reading, writing, classical education, and theology.

I value chivalry, integrity, faith, honour, conviction, courage, diligence, love, joy, and truth.
